I’ve never been a cat person until recently.  I thought I was definitely in the dog lover category as I’d owned a dog, until this year, for all my adult life.  Something, and I’m not sure what, changed and I’d really like to keep a cat.  But Paul’s allergic so that’s not going to happen.
