New Moon Cemetery

If you’ve been reading my newsletter, you’ll know last Friday I paid an evening visit to Southampton Old Cemetery.  We’ve been working with Oya this month at the Soul Path Tribe (she looks after the cemetery gates) so I thought there’s no better time to pay respects than on the new moon.

I took a load of photos on my mobile phone. It was much fun because I couldn’t see what I was shooting on the screen so it was all a bit pot luck.  The flash made some interesting colours too – thought you might want to take a peek!

They look a bit spooky but it was so peaceful (well, as peaceful as it gets with the fearless Tabitha about!).

About

I live near the sea in the south of England, but I dream of living in the country with sheep and cows for neighbours. I write, blog, craft, and feed my terrible tarot addiction. I love the magical, mystical and spiritual side of life, and believe everyone should let their inner magical sparkle shine!

Except for the crypt (?), the old tombstones reminded me of some tombstones I saw in Massachusetts a long time ago. The grave markers were green, and the letters faded. I’m not sure if age turned the markers green, or if they had been that color always.
