Midsummer Moon 2010

Thank you so much Jasmine from Verity Moonshine for telling me the settings I needed on my camera to capture the moon, craters and all :-)

    Wow, gorgeous pic!

Can you share the settings? I have a Canon Digital Ixus and a Canon Eos 450D, but my pics never turn out as beautiful as this one!

Jasmine told me to under expose by increasing the shutter settings. My old Fujifilm let me adjust the shutter speed – had it set at the highest and the flash went off too. I didn’t have time to play around with the settings or set the camera up on a tri-pod because it was SO late (and I should have been in bed!). The moon really was that colour and I’m as pleased as punch with her advise. I have craters!!!

Let me know if you take some shots – I’m a moon addict :-)

What a gorgeous photo! I always wanted to take a really good photo of the mOon like this one, but I don’t think my Samsung is this smart (or the owner, as matter of fact…). Thumbs up for you!

    Kisses from Nydia.

  3. Goodness, you captured her beautifully! Glad I was able to help!!!

Jasmine, I am (excuse the pun) over the moon with advice you gave me. I took another photo last night – I’m thrilled with the clarity that even my old camera can make out. Thank you! x
