Blessed Litha everyone!
Why I started ‘Magick on Monday’ Gods only know as it’s probably the busiest day of the week for me. I can get up in the morning thinking there’s not much going on (this does occasionally happen) but usually by the time I get out of the shower I realise I’ve been very mistaken. Never mind, that’s life I guess.
My Litha celebrations have been small but thoughtful (and it is the thought that counts). My living room window sill doubles as my Sabbat altar (unless it’s Samhain where the whole house ends up an altar!) and today I decorated it with flowers I bought this afternoon, 2 yellow candles scented with mango to represent Her bounty, some glitter on the orange candle saucers to attract the fae and a little faerie statue. The candles have almost gone out now but the house still smells all fruity.
I wanted to share with you this Midsummer prayer by Beth Rae from her book The Hedge Witch’s Way (which is a great resource and reference book for any solitary witch).
Great Lady and Lord of the golden Sun and golden days on Earth and the Heart’s fulfillment, I call upon you.
Let all be blessed with a sense of beauty of this Earth and all her creatures.
Hep us to celebrate love for one another and for all life.
And help us also to put to flight forces that oppress love and deny justice.
Make us strong in magic.
Make us like summer trees.
Make us like summer stars.
Make us like summer seas.
In dedication to the vision of untamed peace, set us free.

Merry Litha! I see you had a sweet celebration, your altar looks lovely with the sun light through the window. I keep my sabbaths simple too, partly because of my little witch, but mainly becaue I don’t like anything too long. We had Yule night here, typically cold!
Kisses from us.
