Flying, Not By Accident

Published on January 4, 2010, by in Confessions.

I had a dream years ago I was flying around with a friend in Amsterdam.  It was so real – I loved the feeling of soaring around buildings and being weighless.  I’ve been trying to go flying ever since but as soon as I get into a relaxed state and feel the separation begin to occur I get spooked.  My body, physical and astral, remain on the bed.

Two nights ago I finally managed to go astral flying on purpose!

I flew out of my body and was flying around the night sky.  Apologies to any fellow astral travellers who may have seen my pitiful attempts because for some reason I thought I had to wiggle my arms and legs about as if I were swimming.  Embarrassing.

I tried again last night but couldn’t fly.  I haven’t been feeling very well and the night I went flying I’d hardly slept.  I’m not sure if exhuastion played a part or not.  I’ll try again tonight – I know practice makes perfect ;-)

Do you go flying sans broom stick?  What kind of adventures can I expect when I finally get the hang of getting out of my body?
