Cold Blaster Tonic

Although I didn’t feel particularly good on Sunday that’s been the only day I’ve felt ‘down’ with this cold.   I’ve had a stuffy nose and have obviously sounded a lot worse than I felt as #2 son has been nagging concerned for me to ‘do something about your cold, mum’.  Usually I get joint aches, head aches etc. so I’m really pleased to have felt just fine.

But I took it as a sign I need to boost my immune system so I found a recipe for a juice drink which claimed to do just that.  I made it this evening and could feel the goodness rush right through me – kind of like being drunk but without the alcohol.  If you don’t mind sour give it a try because it’ll make you zing!!

What you need:

  • 1 lime
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 30 drops of Echinacea tincture
  • 1 soluble vitamin C tablet

What to do:

Squeeze the fruit juices into a glass, add the echinacea and vitamin C.  Stir well and drink.
