Over the last few weeks I’ve been collecting sweets ready for Halloween. I’ve hardly eaten any of them, honest – just the odd 1 or 2 to make sure they’re good to give to the kids. * ahem* That is what you’re supposed to do, right?
Tonight I put my big trick or treat sweet plan into action – take an absurd amount of chocolate and wrap it up in to pretty little bundles with ribbons. And everyone, with the exception of Tabitha, took part.
Here are the tins of sweets ready to be transformed into little bouquets of sweets:
And here’s everyone getting excited (the boys particularly so) about opening the tins. They didn’t seem to notice there were a couple missing
Then came the candy mountain. Don’t look if you’re on a diet!!
I had already cut up some netting to make little bags for the sweets. So it was time to fill them then wrap an elastic band to secure. That was the part which caused the most problems for the boys.
Here are my little oompa loompas diligent workers:
We ran out of netting and still have a full tin of chocolates to use. But here’s what we’ll be handing out to trick or treaters tomorrow:
