Halloween Handbag and 2nd Attempt Book

One of the best things about working for yourself is not being bound to one location for business meetings.  Today Paul and I needed to get some projects moving and we’ve found it more productive to get out of the house and head for somewhere different.  Ultimately, it always involves coffee.  Today was no exception.

We sat in a coffee shop sipping mochas whilst Tabitha read books we picked up for her in the library.  I LOVE having a child who is obsessed with books – at almost 2 she’s so content just sitting and looking at the pictures.  Actually it doesn’t have to be a book, you can give her a leaflet and she thinks it’s the best ‘book’ in the world.

Anyway, when we stopped at the library I also picked up a new reading book for Paul and I to read.  I’m hoping this one will be less of a disaster than my last attempt.  The book is ‘Working for the Devil’ by Lilith Saintcrow.  I haven’t read her before but a review said her writing is something between Laurell K. Hamilton and Kim Harrison.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

And while we were in town I popped into our local new age store where I saw my new Halloween handbag.  I’ve been looking for something like this for ages and I think I’ll be using it long after Samhain :-)
