Blandness & Cake

June has not been an exciting month thus far.  It’s been ok – don’t get me wrong but it’s been a bit on the bland side.  I haven’t been anywhere apart from local towns and the supermarket (which I seem to frequent way too often).

Yesterday was the summer solstice and my celebration was small.  I baked a cake and spent some time in the garden by myself (I crept out and had 10 minutes before anyone found me!!).  I know it’s Midsummer’s Eve when the time is best to see fairies but I left out a cake offering yesterday instead.  If they’re anything like me, you can’t go wrong having cake at any time ;-)

This evening Tabitha walked unaided (again).  It was a couple of months ago since she last tried but she’s got more confidence as she’s been pushing her walker around like a speed demon on crack.

When she hasn’t been doing circuits around the house with the walker she’s been walking on her knees or pulling my fingers out of the sockets as I walk about with her.

But there’s pay back.  First for the jeans and tights that have holes at the knees and second for the constant ‘MAAAAAAR!!!’ which accompanies the finger pulling/walking exercise.

Pay back.  Oh, yes.

Let me introduce you to the delightful Miss Tabitha Rose.  Model extraordinaire.

I’ve been decorating her hair clips and I need photos so she’s the new house model!

And while I’m on the subject of hair, I’ve taken a break from my homemade shampoo.  Even with my practically non existent hair routine I cannot stand the frizz.  I thought I could cope but I can’t.  So I’m going back to the drawing board and this week I’ll be experimenting with shampoo #2. Wish me luck.
